Whether engaged in office duties, managing phone communications, addressing enquiries, providing care services to a client, accompanying individuals to appointments, volunteering your time in Prama's Charity Shops or at a PramaLife Group, facilitating telephone groups, or guiding unpaid caregivers to access essential support services.

PramaLife Community

PramaLife have developed 60+ Clubs, Groups and Activities for Older Adults and Carers across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and East Dorset. As well as providing unique services for people living with dementia and their family carers.

PramaCare Services

Offering home care services to people requiring occasional assistance with daily tasks or more comprehensive support to maintain independence in their home. PramaCare is here to help develop a care plan that suits each individuals needs.

Prama Charity Shops

There are 10+ Prama Charity Shops across Dorset, well known for low prices, great bargains and amazing staff/volunteers.

Becoming a Prama Care Support Worker


At Prama, we can offer the following benefits for our Care Support Workers:

  • Guaranteed Paid Hours Contract – consistent pay for an agreed amount of hours every month, whether we give you care calls or not

  • Above the industry average for pay

  • Paid mileage of 45p per mile between calls *on average this is £170 a month tax free

  • Swift start process – from success at interview to start date can be quick, and you will get paid in your first month.

Being a Prama Care Support Worker means you need to be adaptable, personable but ultimately put others first. Your role will include:

  • Companionship

  • Helping with personal care

  • Helping with mobility around the home

  • Overseeing medication and providing medical support

  • Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming

  • Preparing and cooking meals

  • Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions
