We are looking for Care Assistants to support the increasing demand for our care services. Prama has been supporting people coming home from hospital for 40 years, and have created new roles in order to respond to the current rise in the demands for our service. We helped older people feel less isolated before COVID-19 and will continue to do so throughout the pandemic and afterwards too.

PramaCare is a charity, our focus is helping people enjoy life as they age and treating everyone with dignity and respect, clients, staff and volunteers alike.
We need you to be available to work every other weekend for some hours and priority will be given to anyone who can work between 7am and 11am or 5pm-11:30pm but we do have plenty of other calls that need cover.

Our training criteria is being updated reguarly to ensure we can offer a dynamic course of inducting, hands on training, shadowing and being paired with a Locality Care Manager to offer full support along the way.


Charity Shop Manager

Part time - £10 per hour

We are looking for a Shop Manager for our Brand New Charity Shop opening in September 2022 in Christchurch Town Centre!

This is an exciting new opportunity for someone experienced in retail management, who is looking for a new challenge and a shop to make their own! You will need to develop its presence in the community by:

  • Sourcing donations,

  • Recruit, train and support a volunteer team,

  • Boost our online sales using Facebook marketplace and eBay and

  • Maximise the profit from all our donations.

Finance Administrator

Full time - £22,425 per annum​

We are looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to join our friendly team to keep accounting records accurate and up to date and assist and support the Finance Manager and wider team to ensure that monthly invoicing and other accounting functions are processed in a timely manner.

Key tasks & responsibilities: 

  • Running and maintaining purchase ledgers and sales ledgers on Sage 50 accounts software 

  • Recording bank and cash transactions 

  • Setting up payments for online banking 

  • Bank reconciliations 

  • Answering the phone, taking payments and dealing with finance queries 

  • Recording and tracking small projects and restricted funds 

  • Reporting and analysis activities 

  • Accruals and prepayments 

  • Assisting with management accounting tasks 

  • Processing the company’s credit card expenses 

  • Support Prama events (these may occur out of office hours)

The Prama Foundation is recruiting for a Director to grow our Health & Care Services (PramaCare), to ensure we grow and deliver sustainable and appropriate domiciliary and health care services across Dorset and beyond.

The emphasis of this role is on business development, so whilst experience in social care is desired, we would consider applications from similar sectors.

Entering our 40th year, this is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and successful organisation and contribute to the continuing success and growth of the Prama Group.This post has a critical role in representing a Christian Organisation. As such the post holder is required to work in harmony with our Christian Principles.

Main purpose of job:

  • To provide strong and effective leadership to PramaCare.

  • To grow the hours delivered up to, and beyond, budget and to develop PramaCare as an effective business model.

  • To ensure PramaCare complies with the Health and Social Care, and all other relevant legislation.

  • To manage PramaCare effectively, develop a positive culture, motivating staff efficiently and with compassion toward both clients and staff.

Care Support Worker Full time/part time

Earn £11.70 - £12.50 per hour + £20 in tax free business mileage*!

and, if you can do a few hours on a Sunday teatime we will pay you £37.50 + around £6 tax free mileage payment.*

In April our pay rates rise to £11.70 per hour worked, and £12.50 per hour from 7pm Saturday and all day Sunday. (*Business mileage paid at 45p per mile, amounts

based on current staff average payment)

This is a voluntary role with an average commitment of 8 hours of your time each month and up to 5 board meetings a year.

Business Admin Apprentice

Full time £180.38 per week

This is the kind of apprenticeship where the more you put in, the more you will get out. This role could include social media and marketing administration, organising events, helping with the shops, assisting HR and Recruitment and loads more. Our ideal person will be articulate, want to work hard and have a good eye for detail.

You will be working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Admin one day a fortnight at College term time, of the 15 month course, in Bournemouth/Poole. You will also receive in-house training on the job with our lovely teams and work 37.5 hours per week including term time College day release. 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Customer Services Administrator

Full time 37.5 hours a week £10.00 per hour

We are recruiting for a full time Customer Services Administrator to develop our nailcare team.

Our ideal person will be organised, and have a great phone manner, and be flexible as this is a brand new role and we will need to develop the role as we develop the service. You will have experience in a phone based role, and have excellent MS office skills.
