At Prama we realise how difficult it is to admit to the fact that you might need help at home. We also feel this knowledge can be the start of a new era in your life where the daily concerns of rising, dressing, bathing and even cutting your nails are simply a thing of the past.
Every care plan at Prama is carefully tailored to making sure each individual maintains their independence for as long as possible, at home. Prama also offers a sensitive and discreet “sitting service” where live-in carers can take a short break.
Initial contact with Prama couldn’t be easier; it can be made by the individual themselves, a concerned friend or relative or even the family doctor. Any enquiry is treated sympathetically and sensitively and, of course, in the strictest confidence.

We provide help in familiar surroundings with assistance from people you can trust.
Following the take on of the Barrington, Prama recognised how important the Coffee Shop was to the local community. However, it had not been painted for many years and was getting quite tired. After carrying out user surveys, public consultation a new look was agreed upon as well as the rebranding to Penny's, the name that the coffee shop had for many years before being called Raffles.
This work has now been completed and the coffee shop was reopened by the Mayor of Ferndown. We are proud of the changes we have made and have employed a new Hospitality and Catering Manager at the Barrington to take Penny's forward. In the coming months we expect to see a few more small changes and the introduction of a new menu.
If you're passing the Barrington, why not drop in for a coffee.
