BHCostalLotterylogo

PramaLife are one of the charities which benefit from the BH Coastal Lottery.

BH Coastal Lottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Bournemouth. All good causes supported by the lottery will benefit Bournemouth and its residents.

Play the lottery, support Bournemouth - it’s that simple!

Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! That’s a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery!

Each ticket will consist of 6 numbers and each number will be between 0 and 9. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a 6 digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2-6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all 6 and you win the JACKPOT!

Charity Shops:  Directly Supporting Local People

It’s an exciting time for Prama shops!  We have six shops locally in Parkstone, West Moors, Ashley Cross, Tuckton, Kinson and on Poole High Street.  All the funds raised from our shops directly support PramaLIFE projects for Dorset's older people, people with dementia and carers. Prama shops welcome donations of toys, books, clothes, electrical items, furniture and bric-a-brac and we are able to offer a delivery and collection service for large items (such as furniture).  We rely on volunteers to help keep our shops running too - please get in touch via this site or call into one of our shops to find our more.  We will also be launching online sales on ebay shortly.

Prama Respite Club finds new home

A Saturday Respite Club for people with dementia, run by the leading Dorset care charity Prama, has found a new home after facing the threat of closure. The Club has moved to the Ferndown Day Centre with the first session held on the 19th November.

The group have been in Wimborne for many years but were forced to look for a new home following being notified of a change of use of Wimborne's Hanham Centre at the end of October.

Bridget Barrett from Prama, the Dorset care charity that run the Club commented, "We're so grateful to everyone from Wimborne who got in touch and helped us with suggestions and ideas. There has been a tremendous amount of goodwill from the community and people really wanted the club to stay open. We're really pleased that the group has found a new home at the Ferndown Day Centre. Everyone is a little sad to be leaving Wimborne, where many of the Club attendees live, but we're also looking forward to growing the club in Ferndown and taking on new members".

Alison Waller Managing Director of Tricuro, commented, "The Ferndown Day Centre is a purpose built facility for adult day care and was able to support the Club to ensure the continuation of vital services to adults within a secure, warm, home from home environment. We're pleased to be working with Prama to ensure the continuation and development of this Club who provide excellent support and help to local adults who have additional support needs".

The Respite Club runs three Saturdays a month from 9.30-3.30 and provides care and activities for people with dementia.

For more information, please contact Bridget Barrett at Prama on 01202 207300.
