In 2016 Prama was privileged to begin delivering Brain Injury Care Services for people in Dorset with an acquired brain injury.
We are an experienced charity known for providing outstanding domiciliary care, with a commitment to help older people, vulnerable adults and now people with acquired brain injury, to live independently with the high-quality care and support they deserve.
Prama has built a reputation for home care on a solid foundation of Christian values, though is not an exclusively religious organisation; our clients and staff come from a range of faiths, or no faith. It is the core Christian values of love and care underpinning our services that has enabled us to develop the reputation we are proud to have.
The Brain Injury Service sits within the PramaCARE part of the Prama Foundation, benefitting from the recognised exemplary processes and procedures that have underpinned our domiciliary care for many years.
In the Brain Injury Service our work is as varied as our clients’ needs, and does not focus solely on providing care in the home.
Whilst we do support some of our clients with tasks and activities at home, we also help people access:
-
education
-
training
-
community based social and developmental activities
